As a designer, my first priority when starting a project is to encompass a certain feel. A number of factors go into this: the industry, the client, the trends, and lastly the designer. Images and colors that project this feeling should first be brought up as a basis in which to start work. If a work looks great but is missing the desired feeling, we are left with recognition that the work looks good but are nevertheless disappointed. If something is very functional but lacks the idea and feeling that initially inspired the project, a similar feeling of disappointment ensues. Secondly comes functionality: My goal is to create pieces that both have the correct feel to them as well as working as simply and as beautifully as possible.
